Operator: Job Description
The Operator position is an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday working in our state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facility, with the opportunity for voluntary overtime and, at times, may require overtime beyond the normal workday. As an Operator, you will efficiently perform all tasks involved in the production of Morris Packaging’s products. To succeed in this role, you should be able to produce a high-quality product at optimum speeds in a team atmosphere. Morris Packaging provides on-site training and certifications for machine operation to support your success.
Job Duties Include:
- Overseeing proper manufacturing procedures
- Operating manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Performing routine adjustments and minor repairs to machinery
- Inspecting products for quality
- Packing finished goods in boxes according to customer specifications.
- Ensuring all production logs are filled out correctly
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment following SQF protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must have basic math skills and the ability to learn to read a US standard measuring tape
- Ability to communicate and work with others effectively
- Performing general physical activities such as standing, bending, pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
